Green flashing light (slow) – Occurs when Vine is fitted to the body, to indicate the device is receiving a good signal and the test is underway – flashing about every 2 seconds. NOTE: This may take a couple of minutes to for a clear trace, which is normal and no need for concern.
Red, yellow & green flashing lights – occurs when you double tap the device, to record an event when you are feeling symptomatic
Yellow flashing light – indicates the battery is low, however, this situation is very unlikely to happen. If you do see a flashing yellow light, please contact your medical provider for advice.
Red stable light – indicates an error has occurred, so you should contact your doctor/clinic for support.
Fast flashing green light – occurs when you detach the device from the body (such as during electrode changes) or if a good connection hasn’t been made flashing about every 1 second.
When I double tap the device, I don’t see a light – what should I do?
If for some reason you don’t see a light when you double tap the device, there is no need for concern, as Vine records continuously. Simply, note your symptoms and the time of the event in the diary provided to you.
When do I need to change the electrodes?
Depending on the length of your test, you may need to change the electrodes. Typically, this is required every 2-3 days, or anytime an electrode becomes loose or compromised. If this occurs, your device will begin indicating with a fast flashing green light – flashing about every 1 second.
Can I shower while wearing the Vine?
Yes, the Vine is water resistant so it can handle everyday life such as showering. However, DO NOT submerge the device in water, such as swimming or taking a bath.
My skin is itchy – is skin irritation normal?
Some people experience mild skin irritation from the electrode adhesive, which is normal. Try to avoid scratching is possible. If the irritation becomes unbearable, remove the device and immediately contact your health provider
